FINAL RESULTS

The final Order of Merit event of 2025 was drawn to an earlier than expected conclusion with the planned climax at Alicante being cancelled. This didn't diminish from the excitement however, as places changed in the top 3 of each division in the final game which was played at Las Colinas. 171 different players competed across 11 games (86 in Div 1 & 85 in Div 2) and the 'cut-off' handicap for Division 2 was again 19.0, with anyone lower being in the Division 1 category. A total of 40 players managed to complete the full 4 qualifying games with 27 managing to hit the maximum 6 game tally & a further 7 managing 5 games.

 

Division 1:

In Division 1 the winner became clear some distance out from the end due to his excellent consistency of scoring, however, second and third places were very much 'up for grabs' and both spots changed hands on the final game of the contest. In third place was James Pearson with a solid 139pts over just 4 games. Alan Kilminster grabbed second place with 141pts, again over just 4 games, but our congratulations go to Martin Trevillion, who took the top spot spot with an excellent 148pts.

Division 2:

Division 2 was a similar story to Division 1 with our winner taking an early lead via one big 40+ score, which he then held onto via some consistently steady scoring. The remaining podium places in this division were much more closely fought with 3 players tieing on 138pts. After count-back on the best 4th score the final order was flushed out with Russell Fisher taking third place and Liz McReynolds taking second, but, congratulations go to our Division 2 winner Harry Rice who scored 146 points and was our clear winner in this division.

 

Scoring 40+ points remains a good Amigos habit with 16 (qualifying) scores of 40+ points and Mick Brook shooting an outrageously good score of 46 points at Las Colinas. There were also: 2 scores of 43pts, 3 scores of 42pts, 3 scores of 41 points, and 7 scores of 40 points.
