08 OCT '26 RESULT FROM - ALTORREAL
Hola AMIGOS,
Altorreal is always a great course to visit and yesterday was no exception. Those tricky, fast greens gave almost everyone a tough time with only 2 scores above 33 points, but let's see who did best :-
Individual Category 1
With a handicap band of 6.5 - 13.6 we were expecting some great things here, but only one player stood out in this group. Mentions (not particularly honourable) go to: Shane Bordier & Alan Kilminster (30pts), Jon Thompson (31pts) & Mandy Cosgrave (32pts) but our prize winners were:
Winner : Simon O'Connor : 36 points
Runner Up : Paul Carroll : 32 points (Lower h/cp)
Individual Category 2
No-one in this category scored better than 33 pts but mentions go to: Rosemary Webber (31pts) & Eileen Greaney (32pts) but our prize winners were:
Winner : Poul Friis Hansen : 33 points
Runner Up : Yvonne Keohane : 32 points (lower h/cp)
Individual Category 3
This category held our best score of the day and mentions go to: Rudy Ceusters (30pts) & Graham Field (31pts), but our prize winners were:
Winner : Karen Pearson : 38 points
Runner Up : Graham Etherington : 33 points
Team Competition
The medalford pairs format can be tough (particularly for the scorers 😜) but teams performed well with 8 teams bettering or equalling the 36ps par score (Remember - the lower the score the better in this game).
Winners : Team 11 : 25 points
Paul Carroll, James Pearson, Carolus Brand, Gerry Burton (ghost)
Second : Team 9 : 28 points (lower h/cp)
Shane Bordier, Eileen Greaney, Sheila Riley & Karen Pearson
Third: Team 12 : 30 points (lower h/cp)
Jon Thompson, Kevin Scott, Rinus de Zwart & Graeme Etherington (ghost)
Other team scores were: Team 7 = 30pts, Team 5 = 32pts, Team 6 = 33pts, Team 10 = 35pts, Teams 1 & 3 = 36pts, Team 8 = 40pts, Team 4 = 45pts, Team 2 = 46pts, Team 13 = 49pts.
Only 1 TWO was scored this week, by John Byrne of the 5th Hole2's this week (no 2's were actually scored anyway).

NTP winners this week were:
-
Hole 8 = John Byrne
-
Hole 9 = Shane Bordier (Holed in 4)
-
Hole 10 = Brian Platt

A big thank you to all the organisers and our helpers with a special thank you to Mick Lynch who volunteered to run cash collection and to Iain Stewart who took the brunt of the scoring challenges posed by the Medalford format.
Our next games are at El Valle on 22/10 and then at El Plantio on 29/10.
Cheers
Brian

Congratulations to Everyone Who Took Part and Helped Make it a Great Day for All
