Hola AMIGOS,

What a great 'Away day' we had 👍. OK, the getting up at 06:00 wasn't great but it was worth it with a smooth comfy ride to the course, Bacon baguette & Coffee on arrival and a sit down feast with 5 types of tapas for everyone on you return after the golf. And what about that course? great condition and very different to any others we play with a definite 'UK Course' feel to it. You guys not only loved the course but also almost everyone performed well on it, but let's see who did best :-
Individual Category 1

Some very solid scoring here with only 2 scores below 31 points in this category. Honourable mentions go to: Willie Custance & Rob Buckey (35pts), Jane Hutchinson (37pts) & James Pearson (38pts) but our prize winners were:

Winner : Martin Trevillion : 40 points

Runner Up : Ron Weller : 39 points

Individual Category 2

Once again, some very solid scoring here with only 4 scores below 32 points. Honourable mentions go to: Graeme Etherington & Gary Conway (36pts), Caroline Pickering (37pts), Mo Khan & Lynn Lalley (39pts) but our prize winners were:

Winner : Carolus Brand : 40 points (lower h/cp)

Runner Up : Rinus de Zwart : 39 points

Team Competition

A close fought thing this week with all teams within a 12 point band and everyone beating the basic par score of 108pts.

Winner : Team 9 : 121 points

Ron Weller, Willie Custance, Graeme Etherington & Rosie Hansford

Runner Up : Team 4 : 117 points (lower h/cp)

Rob Buckey, Jane Hutchinson, Gary Conway & David Doig (ghost)
Other team scores were: Team 8 = 117pts, Team 2 = 116pts, Team 6 = 115pts, Team 1 = 113pts, Team 5 = 111pts, Teams 3 & 7 = 109pts.

No NTPs or 2's this week (no 2's were actually scored anyway).

A big thank you to all who took the trouble to support the day and i'm sure that, like me, you found it thoroughly enjoyable and worth the effort.

Our next games are at Altorreal on 8/10 and then at El Valle 22/10 & El Plantio 29/10.
Finally, thank you to all the organisers for setting everything up so well and our helpers on the tee who got us away smoothly & efficiently as they always do.
Cheers

Brian
