AMIGOS MEMBERSHIP?
Games are exclusively for Amigos Members and to be able to participate an annual fee of 10,00€ per person is charged which is due from 01 January. This is generally to cover admin costs and is separate from the prize fund which is used entirely as prize money. The minimum number of Players to form a Society event is 12, although this could be higher on non-GNK Courses. It is very important that you fully commit and support a game at least 10-14 days beforehand as many games get 'fully booked'. It may well prove difficult to find a replacement especially at short notice and certain times of the year.
Weekly formats vary and typically involve competing Teams of two or four as well as individual scores being recorded to maintain Amigos handicaps. The games usually involve a few quirky rules to add, excitement and extra commitment, dependent upon the course being played. Whilst the competitions may be unusual from other games a full test of ‘proper’ golf is guaranteed.
As Amigos we will always try to make your experience both enjoyable, relaxing, and non too serious no matter where your skill level lies. Always, though, a little competitive with the attraction of modest prize money at stake.
We will also be running a four-monthly ‘Order of Merit’ table (see separate page) which will be of particular interest for our more regular playing Amigos.
Amigos handicaps will be formerly adjusted in accordance with CONGU rules after each competition and fully visible through the pages of this website.
