This time of year, June, we start booking reservations for 2027 which will be published start Sept '26. Next year promises to be quite special as it’s AMIGOS RYDER CUP YEAR!  and our 10th ANNIVERSARY. If you have a particular favourite golf course or one you never want to play just let us know.

Oliva Nova was the first Competition (of Four) of the new ‘Seve Trail’.  You will find a new 'Points Table' listed after Game 2 - Las Pinaillas and we look forward to you playing the remaining Seve Ballesteros Golf Courses to increase your totals.

Oliva Nova was a WOW of an event and arguably our best ever Anniversary Cup ‘Away Golf Event’. Thank you to all who have passed on their thanks in appreciation of our efforts and reciprocally we thank you for your loyal support.  Shall we do another event next year 🤔? after all it will be AMIGOS 10th ANNIVERSARY and that is certainly well worth celebrating!

It is with great sadness that we report the loss of a true gentleman and an Amigo we were extremely fond of. Richard Deeley passed away recently following a lengthy illness. We will miss his enthusiasm to play golf with us on a Thursday despite his very heavy administrative workload as President of Hacienda Riquelme Urbanisation. Please accept Amigos condolences Annette Deeley.

CONGRATULATIONS WILLIE CUSTANCE, our new Amigos Anniversary Cup trophy winner. Willie's 40 points was enough to just pip Gordon Hutchinson & Mike McGread who both shot 39 points.

CONGRATULATIONS go to Jon Thompson & Diane Nicholls on winning their respective categories of the 1st 2026 Order of Merit. Jon won the Cat 1 trophy with 148 points, whilst Diane took the Cat 2 trophy with her 144 points. See the Order of Merit' web page for full details

Congratulations to Harry Rice who narrowly pipped Diane Nicholls to win the took the April 'Race to Las Colinas' monthly prize. Both players had 41.0 points but Harry had played 3 games against Diane's 2 games, so takes the win. Third place went to Iain Stewart who was very close behind with 40.8 points over 4 games.

Please register for the Amigos v Golden Bear matchplay competition on Thursday 18 Jun’26 via the Amigos ‘book a game’ facility and we will manage who any duplicated names will play for. The trophy presentation will be held at Armonia Beach Club, Los Alcazares in the evening of the golf competition with Dinner and Entertainment organised.

Murcia News has recently reported an article informing the public that Peraleja Golf will be reopening this year and that bookings can be arranged from late Jun’26. Whilst the official date remains to be announced it does look a step closer!

We have a new, one-off Amigos Competition over 2026-27, ‘The Seve Ballesteros Trail’. The winner will be the Amigo who amasses the most points playing on the Four qualifying Seve Golf Courses we play: Oliva Nova Golf Resort, Alicante Golf; Las Pinaillas and Peraleja in 2027. We hope that you will play as many as you can to win a special prize.

Unfortunately, withdrawals post Start Sheets issue continue and cause real headaches for our Organisers. The ‘Have I booked’ facility is always kept up to date on the website so please check it regularly and if you need to withdraw do so asap via the ‘CANCEL’ icon on the original registration receipt confirmation email you receive, or let us know via email.

In Oct’26 we have booked Las Pinaillas in Albacete, an exceptional Seve Ballesteros Golf Course and we intend to arrange a coach to get you there and back so that you can appreciate this new golf experience.

It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of EDDIE MURTY following serious illness. He was a true and original Amigo and we will remember his fun loving quirky character for a long time. We pass on our collective condolences to LIZ MURTY and trust that her current medical treatments improves her own condition too.
