Congratulations to Paul Taylor, May winner in the Race to Alicante Monthly awards with 40 points over 3games. Iain Stewart took 2nd place with 39.8pts over 4 games and Paul Best took 3rd with 39.3pts over 4 games.

Cancellations and withdrawals after a Sunday start sheet has been issued is becoming quite a headache for us. We have to notify the Golf Courses of expected numbers 7 days before match day so please help us eliminate unnecessary change by checking your bookings on ‘HAVE I BOOKED’ on the website at regular intervals as it is kept up to date. PLEASE!

What an amazing June we have lined up for you with Competitions and Matches at La Finca, Lo Romero, Mar Menor, El Plantio and Villamartin and Vistabella in early July. July / August is the quiet season for golf for obvious reasons in Spain but we have a full programme of Competitions so we are looking for your support wherever possible.

Having met with the Golf Director and Owner of Lo Romero recently they have stressed the problems of managing SLOW PLAY especially from larger visiting Societies. If we can all get around in 4 and half hours, closely monitored by their Marshalls, then we can receive a €5,00 discount on the next Individual Green Fee at that course. Let's get that reward.

Do check out all of our Amigos Honours Boards which have recently been updated. Click Home and Amigos Honours Boards and select the Competition to see the lists of Winners and Champions.

The Amigos Shirt-World Tour & associated Photo book has certainly captured your imagination and you just cannot believe where our Red Logo Golf Shirt has been to some of the most spectacular and revered Golf Courses, EVER! A few photobooks are available at €15 is you want one.

Big thank you to Graham Platts for taking all the photos at our Anniversary cup and do checkout the images on the Archives & Albums / Photo Albums link on this website

In our ‘Accident and Emergency Society that Plays Golf’ there are so many Amigos waiting for or recovering from replacement surgery or other operations that it is quite unprecedented but we do wish everyone the very best, whatever state they are in, and a speedy return to Amigos golf!

We have seen an increase in withdrawals and cancellations over the last few months of 2024 and many after Start Sheets have been published.  Sometimes these are unavoidable but we would like to see less late pullouts as it really does involve a lot of Organiser time and considerable inconvenience to your fellow Amigos.

For those who might not be aware we do have Virtual Honours Boards on the website (under the 'HOME PAGE' tab, where all of your important successes are recorded so do take a look. It is currently hidden until the Roda event.

We really look forward to our Anniversary Cup Away Day to La Envia, Wellness and Golf Hotel, Vicar, Almería on 22/23 May’25.
