If you do take out golf club membership (GNK, U-Golf, etc.), renew, or terminate, take out Spain Federation membership for handicap or insurance purposes or opt for buggies or to walk please do let us know so that our database can be updated. It is really important for everyone’s benefit to have this as accurate as possible.

This unfortunately is a consequence of having larger numbers and we are always conscious of validating scores as expeditiously as possible. It’s good to see Dave Hughes’ registrations to return to golf in October following his Knee replacement surgery earlier in the year and complicated recovery and convalescence. Welcome back Dave.

The long awaited new 9 holes have at last been opened at New Sierra Golf and by all accounts the members are very ‘happy’! We look forward to taking you there to try for yourself on 26 Oct’23. Another full 18 hole golf course is now added to our list of golf courses in the area

We have been advised by two prominent Golf Courses to beware of petty theft from unattended golf bags. PLEASE do look after all of your belongings, golf clubs, wallets, purses, bags, etc. especially before your tee time, afterwards whilst in the Bar, and YES, even when on the course.

Congratulations Carol Henshall-Brown who has put in so much study time and effort over the summer and via examination has now attained an Official Industry recognised Realtor Licence to practice in Alicante. CONGRATULATIONS to Steve Fitzpatrick & Graham Field who took the honours in the May-Aug round of the 2023 Order of Merit. Steve won Division 1 with a magnificent 154 points and Graham took Division 2 with 142 points.

Due to Mar Menor not being reopened before November *earliest) we have had to amend our planned visit on 12/10 to Hacienda del Alamo. No need to rebook if you are happy to go to Hacienda del Alamo, but please cancel your booking if you are not.

The HR Amigos 2024 fixture list will be unveiled at our game at Altorreal on 31/8. After that you will be able to book games up to the end of December 2024.

Don't miss out on our 'Summer Swing' games at HR on 17/8, Altaona Village on 24/8 & Altorreal on 31/8. With no HRGS or Golden Bear golf in August you don't want to suffer withdrawal symptoms 😊.

Next Thursday's game (17/8) will now be played at Hacienda Riquelme as Campoamor have brought forward their Hollow-Tineing activity. We were only notified this week and Graham has reacted quickly to get us tee slots at HR. No need to rebook if you originally booked for Campoamor, all bookings will be transferred.

Congrats to Rosalyn Hastings - our newest member. Rosalyn's handicap was 36+ (too high to join us) just 2 months ago and after much effort at La Torre it is now officially 30.7. What a great effort and now she is a FULL AMIGO 😊.

When all of the Ryder Cup excitement has died down the ‘End of Year GOLF PARTY' at RODA GOLF on Thursday 28 Dec’23 will be ‘In Play’ and what will be this year’s THEME - what do you fancy?

As we head towards Autumn’s High Season Golf Competitions would all AMIGOS please check their registrations as your circumstances may have changed and require updating. This serves two purpose in that it will allow others to play if you cannot make it and it minimises disruptions to Start Sheet preparation and issues.
