02 JUL 26 RESULT FROM - LA MARQUESA
Hi all,
So the sun continued to shine on the Amigos yesterday at La Marquesa, the first time we had visited the course for a couple of years Most found it an enjoyable experience and the course has had a couple of interesting changes. Maybe next time we will take on the challenge of playing the 9th as a par 6!
The results show a spread of scores, and a couple of very good performances:
Individual Category 1
Good performances and honourable mentions for Del Holloway with 34 points and Graham Whant with 35 (missing out on 2nd on higher handicap), but in the frame: -
Winner: Kevin Scott 38 points
Runner-up: Martin Trevillion 35 points
Individual Category 2
Again there was quite a differential in scores, with the leaders out front scoring very well. Honourable mentions to Diane Nicholls with 35 points, John Fox with 37 and Alan Evans, 38 points: -
Winner: Terry McCartney 42 points
Runner-up: Steve Nicholls 39 points
Team Competition
A new format for us in the Modern Waltz, but teams seemed to embrace it with most achieving better than 108 points which was par.
Winners : Team 2 : 126 points
Grahame Bradbury, Kevin Scott, Graham Whant and Diane Nicholls
Runners-up : Team 5 : 122 points
Martin Trevillion, Steve Nicholls, Eileen Greaney and Gary Conway
Other team scores were: Team 3 = 112pts, Team 8 = 108pts, Teams 7 & 4 = 107pts, Team 1 = 106pts, Team 6 = 103ptss.
Just one NTP – the ´Sawgrass´Hole no 16, which we played not very well, in fact we made it the hardest hole by scoring a meagre 36 points between all 31 of us! But well done to Martin Trevillion.
Four 2's today, so congratulations to: James Bunce on Hole 6, Graham Whant & Grahame Bradbury on Hole 8 & Dave Hughes on Hole 12.
The Summer Swing is well and truly with us with a series of local courses and early starts. Next week is Roda, followed by La Torre, New Sierra and El Valle. Plenty of availability, so sign up as soon as you can.
As always, many thanks to all of the Amigos Organisers and Helpers whether at the course or behind the scenes who contributed to the smoothest running of the event.
Regards
Iain

Congratulations to Everyone Who Took Part and Helped Make it a Great Day for All
