Hola AMIGOS
Having left La Envia to the memory bank we moved forward today with our regular weekly games and what a start it was at New Sierra Golf.   As stated in my last email, NSG is a very much underrated golf course and you experienced yourselves how spectacular their greens are! Very much some of the best in the area.  So please do tell your colleagues who withdrew today what a great experience it was that they missed! 😂.  So how did you play?
Individual Category 1
There were some very good returns but suspect that the more difficult back 9 holes tempered the totals. Well played everyone and especially those honourably mentioned, Henk Alink, Martin Trevillion and Iain Stewart, 34 Stableford points, Andy Reeves 35 points. But the one two were clearly ahead of the field and the winner will be mentioned in the Amigos Forties Club! Many congratulations: -

Individual Category 2 
Pretty much the same story as above, some good returns and a tiring long back nine, I suspect, influenced the scoring being higher. Nevertheless the Winning Duo and those Honourably mentioned played very well. Well done, Graham Field, 36 points, John Fox, 37, Dave Hughes and Carol Brand with 38 points. Your one/two could only be split by handicap difference but didn’t they do well?
Winner : Bob Lancaster : 39 points (hcap 26.2)
Runner-Up : Rinus de Zwart : 39 points (hcap 31.0)
Team Competition 
The rhythm of an Amigos ‘Waltz’ in 2-3-4 time is always trickier and engages everyone so well played all teams and especially those exceeding standard par for this format of 108 Stableford points.
Winners : Team 5  : 119 points

Runners-Up : Team 9
Stuart Farnworth, Martin Trevillion, Dave Hughes and Rinus de Zwart.

Other team scores were: Team 8 = 115pts, Team 4 = 114pts, Team 1 = 113pts, Team 6 = 100pts, Team 2 = 98pts, Team 3 = 91pts, Team 7 = 87pts.
Thank you all for contributing to the charity Two’s Pot this week with only one claimant!
