Thank you all for supporting Amigos at El Valle today and especially you newbies and returnees.  It is quite a change to have smaller groups for our Summer Swing and it does seems less stressful and even the weather was more tolerable than of late. You even got the unusual Medford format under control. But how was your golf under these circumstances?  Let’s see: -
Individual Category 1
All of you elite golfers, across the board, played very well with the majority returning over 30 points or very close to it when the scores were converted to Stableford points. These players can be cited for ‘honourable mentions’, Ian Chapman & Sean Fyles, 33 points, Martin Trevillion, 34 points, Mark Cocker and Terry McCartney, 35 points. Individual Category 2
Again, a pretty decent return from everyone and you are to be congratulated for a having a good day at the office  with many +30 points scores. Recipients of ‘honourable mention’ badges are Adam Sperrink and Dave Hughes, 34 points, Caroline Pickering, 35 points. However, your two winners were seemingly a cut above the rest and join the Amigos Forties Club for their efforts. Well played: -

Team Competition 
Standard Par for this MedalFord format is 18 (total of best 2 nett strokes = 72 minus total of best 3 Stableford scores = 54; and 72-54 =18). This seemed to be of no consequence, however, with most Teams scoring below.  What might have been a winning Team score was exceeded by a brilliant Team who were on fire: -

No NTP’s this week and no ‘Two’s’ were recorded.

Round 4 of the Amigos Summer Swing sees us visit Las Ramblas next Thursday 31 Jul’25. No competition on 07 Aug’25 but following that Roda Golf, Lo Romero, Villamartin, Alenda Golf and Las Colinas follow consecutively on Thursdays. Some of the best golf venues in our area with an opportunity to play at Low Season Society rates all arranged so do please come and support us! Register on line in the usual manner or let Iain Stewart know soonest.
