Hola AMIGOS

Lo Romero rarely disappoints and today was no exception. Some fantastic scoring and once again Amigos show that they can move quickly around the course when they want to. All teams' times, from start to finish, ranged from 4hrs 17 to 4hrs 34 with our final team arriving within the 4hr 30-minute target set by Lo Romero, who confirmed our €5 discount for our first game there in 2026.
We welcomed newcomers: Neil Duguid, Jeff Cohen, Darren Edgell, Tom Perkins & Johnny Ward and were delighted to see : Ken Roche, Stephen Hughes, Steve Ramsay, Rod Howarth, Sue Thompson and both Steve & Nicola Murdoch making a return to Amigos golf.

Today's game was a Hare & Hounds where the challenge was to better a score set by the low handicap 'Hares' team. The Hares set a fine target shooting a 12 under par medal round, but that proved to be of no concern to 6 teams who found that bettering that score was no problem. The top 3 teams all shot exactly the same score of 23 under par (131 stableford points) and had to be separated by 'lowest shots'
Overall winners were Team 6: Shane Bordier, Darren Edgell, Jane Hutchinson & Ken Roche.
Runners-up were Team 11: Kirk Green, Gail Duffield Paul Best & Lindy Easson.
Third place went to Team 7: John Byrne, Stephen Hughes, Cathy Hoyne & Gerry Burton.
Teams 8, 15 & 12 also caught the Hares with scores of 125 (-17), 125 (-17) &122 (-14) respectively.
Other team scores were: Team 1 = -12, Team 5 = -10, Teams 9, 10 & 13 = -7, Team 3 = -6, Team 2 = -4, Team 14 = -1, Team 4 = +3.
Our sharpshooters were on form with NTPs being taken by: Kirk Green (Hole 4), Iain Stewart (Hole 5), Sam McReynolds (Hole 15) and Russel Fisher (Hole 18). The 2's pot took a bit of a bashing with 5 2's being recorded by: Iain Stewart (5), Jon Webster (7), Lynn Lalley (7), Terry Howard (15), Sam McReynolds (15).
