Hola AMIGOS
Another great day of Amigos golf at Vistabella with perfect weather & course conditions. This course usually sees some phenomenal scoring, so how did you get on today
Individual Category 1
Good solid scoring here with 36 points being the threshold for an Honourable Mention, well done:  Graham Booth, Sam McReynolds, Gordon Hutchinson & Stan Lalley. Paul Sawyers 37 points managed to pip that quartet but still couldn't catch our prize winners who could only be separated on 'Lowest Handicap' :
Winner : Clive Norkett : 40 points (10.9 hdcp)
Runner-Up : Ron Weller : 40 points (14.6 hdcp)
Individual Category 2
The story was very similar in Category 2, however, 37pts was needed to get an honourable mention, well done Bob Lancaster & Rod Howarth. 38pts was not good enough for a prize in this category, well done Lynn Lalley, and neither was 39 pts - unlucky Gerry Burton & Graham Whant. Once again, our winners could only be separated by 'Lowest Handicap' :
Winner : Chris Dunne : 40 points (26.1 hdcp)
Runner-Up : Andrew Smithurst : 40 points (31.7 hcap)
Team Competition
90 points was the nominal par for today's team game but, whilst every team beat that easily, it is rare for anything under 100pts to stand a chance; and so it proved today.
Winners : Team 6  : 112 points
Sam McReynolds, Graham Booth, Gary Conway & Bob Lancaster
Runners-Up : Team 9 : 110 points
Martin Trevillion, Steve Fitzpatrick, Rod Howarth & Gerry Burton.
Third Place : Team 3 : 108 points
Brian Platt, Kevin Sutton, Graham Whant & Wayne Goodwin.
Other Team scores were: Team 10 = 107pts, Teams 4 & 5 = 106pts, Team 2 = 104pts, Team 8 = 103pts, Team 7 = 99pts, Team 1 = 97pts.

With no NTP awards available, you clearly focussed on the 2's and congratulations go to: Gerry Burton (Hole 2), John Fox (Hole 7), Caroline Pickering (Hole 7) & Paul Best (Hole 15).

We were a little low on organisers this week so a particularly big thank you to our 2 new 'stand-in' helpers: Andrew Smithurst & John Fox who managed 'Amigos Reception' for us, supporting our other helpers: Iain Stewart, Bob Lancaster, Ron Weller and absentees Graham Field, Harry Rice & Dave Hughes for their help in the preparations.
There is no Amigos game next week (Golden Bear week) but we return on 24th at El Valle & 31st at Las Ramblas. Spaces are available so do book on and join us there.
I will see you all when I return to Spain in late September for the Ryder Cup event and wish you all a brilliant summers golfing.
cheers
Brian
