ARCHIVED RESULT FROM

Hola AMIGOS
All in all somewhat of a challenging day my reporters tell me. Even with a tough track, a slowish round and an overzealous Marshall I hope that you all still enjoyed your round of golf at Campoamor today and sorry I had to miss the event.
The results suggested it was quite challenging with only one Amigo equalling standard par. Let’s see how you actually performed: -
Individual Category 1
Four players tied on 33 Stableford points but with our lowest handicap count-back system in operation Martin Donohoe and Russell Fisher are honourably mentioned and deserving of our plaudits as do our one and two: -
Winner : Dan Stallard : 33 points
Runner-Up : Colin Walters : 33 points
Individual Category 2
Just as challenging for our Category 2 Players but Ruud Woudstra, 34 points and Ilona Gregory, 33 points can be honourably mentioned and sharing the top, two Amigos could only be separated on lower score count-back. Well played everybody: -
Winner : Des Watts : 35 points
Runner-Up : Stuart Roden : 35 points
Individual Category 3
Caz Clarke is honourably mentioned with her 34 points, but yet again John Fox, 35 points just misses out on lower handicap count-back from the prizes, again all very close and congratulations are in order for everyone: -
Winner : Mike McGread : 36 points
Runner-Up : Elert Austmann : 35 points
Team Competition
Team-wise you gelled together very well with the top two Teams exceeding standard par of 108 points. Quite an achievement with a very tough ‘Amigos style’ Dusty Bin format.
Winners : Team 6 : 113 points
Colin Walters, Mick Lynch, Stuart Roden and Kevin Lambe
Runners-Up : Team 9 : 111 points
Reg Hole, James Pearson, Olof Asgeirsdottir and Elert Austmann
3rd Place : Team 2 : 103 points
Dan Stallard, Ilona Gregory, Phil Doughty and Caz Clarke.
Other team scores were: Team 13 = 102pts, Team 1 = 101pts, Teams 10, 3, 4 = 95pts, Teams 5,14 = 94pts, Team 11 = 92pts, Team 7 = 86pts, Team 8 = 84pts, Team 12 = 80pts.
With 5 x Par 3’s to show off your skills no one even got onto the green on two of them!
Congratulations sharpshooters Rosemary Webber, Hole 6; Steve Fitzpatrick, Hole 15 and Reg Hole, Hole 17. Two ‘Two’s’ were recorded, Paul Taylor and Rosemary Webber, both on Hole 6.

Please do check out your own individual performance on the website in a few days time.
A tough start to January continues with outings to Lo Romero, La Finca, Las Colinas and Roda Golf all coming up but they do have reserve lists. Don’t let that put you off however as there always seems to be vacancies nearer game day, so do register now or let us know soonest.
Many thank yous to all of the Amigos Organisers and Helpers whether at the course or behind the scenes who contributed to the smoothest running of the event.
What a day!
