Hola AMIGOS and  FELIZ ANO NUEVO  once again!
Wasn’t that a nice cosy easement back into golf today at El Valle?  No handicaps on the line, just a bit of non-too-serious golf and the weather held out. The more serious golf stuff commences in earnest next week but were there any pointers for golf in 2026 in the way you played?  Maybe keep that to yourselves but on the whole the golf was respectable given the previous evening’s celebrations!
Two Competitions were held today, best Four-ball and best Blind Team, somewhat random but if you won a prize it worked for you!

Best Four-ball
Standard par of 144 was never going to be achieved but two Teams stood out from the pack and with the numbers we had only one prize but wasn’t it good to see our Ladies in pole position?  Congratulations: -
Winners : Team 5 : 127 points

Runners-Up : Team 4 : 126 points 
Neil Tobin, Karen Pearson, Ruud Woudstra and Steve Nicholls

Best Blind Team Competition 
Always fun to play as you never know who’s going to eventually win!  A bad round can still put you in the prizes. Four Teams made up of all Players 1 on the scorecards, Players 2 and so on …. The total Team Scores all with matching handicaps were 184; 193; 200 and 205 and the plaudits went to: -

Thank you all for your patience waiting for the results to be processed and trust that you made our debutants feel at home and that the long time returnees felt they that nothing had changed.
The fixture list for the next few games at Campoamor, Lo Romero, La Finca and Roda, I’m afraid, are fully booked, however please do let us know if you wish to be added to the reserve lists and to keep your fingers crossed as you never quite know! 🤞
