Thank you all for your support at New Sierra Golf on Thursday 30 Jul'26, it's so good to know that with limited Organisers we can still arrange workable Summer Competitions for you. A thank you does go out to Lee McLaren, by the way, who joined the party at the very last minute and who was probably not 'announced'.  I hope that you found the golf course in good order and managed the back nine hole trek not too much of a challenge in the heat?
Well, how did you play?  Upon reviewing the Report Sheets, very very well indeed, many congratulations to all.
Individual Category 1
A tough division with good scoring this week and I can 'honourably' mention Lee McLaren, 33 points and Alan Evans with standard par of 36 points just missing out on prizes to two clear winners. Well played: -
Winner : Martin Trevillion : 38 points
Runner-Up : Sean Fyles : 37 points
Individual Category 2
Tucking in just behind the Category 1 Golfers but with still good returns we see Chris Dunne and Andrew Smithurst warrant 'honourable' mention status with 33 points. And just nudging into the prizes with a couple of points more was your Runner-Up and clearly loving the course with an exceptional display of golf was our Winner who joins the 'Amigo Forties Club' and we all want to know what you were taking! 😂
Winner : Sue Horsfield : 42 points (yes, Forty Two points)
Runner-Up : Marc VanderCruyssen : 35 points
Team Competition
A spread of 18 points was the difference between the Teams but very well played the Winning Team who had a clear advantage of 7 points over the field.  Well played everybody.
Winners : Team 1 : 110 points
Colin Walters, Lee McLaren, Sean Fyles and Sue Horsfield
Other team scores were: Team 3 = 103pts, Team 2 = 98pts, Team 5 = 97pts, Team 4 92pts.

Two 'Two's' were recorded today; great Target shooting Sue Horsfield, Hole 3 and on the hardest Par 3 of all, Dave Hughes, Hole 17. Great tee shots.
