Hola AMIGOS
Well that’s it, Summer is over.  The last competition of Amigos ‘Summer Swing’ ended at Villamartin today and how pleasant a golf experience it was.  Always a great venue to play and as you are aware one of the last occasions before it closes for renovation early next year. Hole two, across the road will close for building redevelopment and it was interesting to see the shaping and setting out of a new replacement Hole behind the Par 3 Thirteenth Green. 
With favourable conditions how did your Team fare?  Let’s see: - 
With the added ingredient of a yellow ball to add a little spice you all handled this challenge very well with only one lost yellow ball recorded, Team 1! 😂 We were looking for a standard par including bonuses of 116 Stableford points and pleased to say that everyone exceeded that target except the aforementioned Team!  Well played everyone, however, and especially the Runners-Up and clear and outstanding Winning Team: -

Runners-Up : Team 4 : 119 points

With plenty of opportunities to birdie the Par 3s only Vera Van Der Veken took advantage, well played.

Upcoming competition fixtures include next Thursday’s visit, 03 Sep’26, to Las Colinas where being the back end of the season we do have some availability, with Font del Llop and Aguilon completing the line-up for September.  Please do come and support our inaugural fixture at Las Pinaillas, Albacete, on Thursday 01 Oct’26 where we have laid on a courtesy coach to get you to this Seve Ballesteros designed golf course and back which starts at Mar Menor Golf Resort and pick-up points at Hacienda Riquelme and El Valle.

Big thank yous again are in order for Andrew Smithurst and Paul Best helping out again and the rest of the Organisers, Iain Stewart, back on duty today and Brian and Harry, Dave and Bob and everyone else who might of been overlooked.
We return to bigger fields, Individual Competition and those all important speciality Competition points next week at Las Colinas and also Amigos Competition Fixture List for 2027 will be announced and the register will then open for bookings.
