The golf courses we have played in Summer have all been in top class condition and today’s visit to Saurines was up there with the best.  Perhaps the greens were a little slow but understandably so as protection.  But what did you make of these conditions? Your scoring in this 50 Stableford Countdown format was excellent and when related to standard par each Team exceeded same and the winning Teams murdered it!
Those winning Teams were tied after 18 holes and could be only separated by calculating their combined total handicaps. Having the lowest were: -
Winners : Team 2 : 82 points
John Lafferty, Declan Shaughnessy, Ruud Woudstra and Chris Dunne
Runners-up : Team 5 : 82 points
Dave Robinson, Ron Weller, Graham Booth and Caroline Pickering (Ghost)
And despite the good scoring no one managed to shoot a ‘Two’!

Let’s now round off the ‘Amigos Summer Swing’ with the last competition of the Season, a visit to Villamartin next Thursday 27 Aug’26.  Always a favourite and an opportunity to play before closure for renovation and refurbishment early next year.  September sees more of a return to golf normality with a line up that includes venues a bit further away, Las Colinas, Font del Llop and Aguilon. Followed by the long anticipated inaugural visit to Las Pinaillas, Albacete to play the Seve Ballesteros designed Golf Course on 01 Oct’26. We have made it so easy for you to try out by arranging subsidised coach travel there and back in the day with ‘pick-up’ points at Mar Menor, Hacienda Riquelme and El Valle. A very reasonable price will be announced shortly to make it even more value for money once we have finalised the content.  Please do register as you usually do on-line or let us know and please do invite any fellow golfers who would appreciate the adventure. We have a big coach to fill!
