Hi all,

After my rant about it being windy conditions for seemingly evert Amigos game, yesterdays game at Golf Altorreal proved a fine golfing day with a very light wind and warm sunshine.  So, was it an easier scoring day? Well not really, but that is testament to the course being a tricky layout and the greens hard to read.  But, as always,  it was a very popular course with all Amigos, and a thoroughly enjoyable day.  Let’s see how you actually performed:

Individual Category 1Three players tied on 32 points are honourably mentioned namely Clive Norkett, Garry Elderbrand and Kirk Green, with a fourth on this score in the frame having a lower handicap, but the only 2 ladies in this category win the spoils:

Winner : Shane Bordier : 37 points

Runner-Up : Lucy Hole : 34 points

Third : Andrew O'Loughlin : 32 points

Individual Category 2Very tight category with the winner 1 point ahead of 2nd and third who were split by handicap. One point further behind and honourably mentioned is Marc Vandercreysen:

Winner : Iain Stewart : 34 points

Runner-Up : John Byrne : 33 points

Third : Nigel Horsfield : 33 points

Individual Category 3An Van den Borre is honourably mentioned with her 34 points, along with Paul Best on 33 , but the 3 in the prizes were all significantly ahead, and only split by handicap:

Winner : Sus Tonnisen : 37 points

Runner-Up : Rudy Ceusters : 37 points

Third : Sue Horsfield : 37 points

Team Competition Quite an easy category with betterball pairs being added in each team. This means par was 72 points, and all but 3 teams achieved this. Scoring was quite close, but the winners were:

Winners :  Team 2  : 80 points

Annick D´Anvers, Iain Stewart, Stuart Roden and Rudy Ceusters.

Runners-Up : Team 5 : 78 points

Garry Elderbrand, Gordon Hutchinson, Poul Friis Hansen and Henrik Tonnisen.

Third Place : Team 11 : 77 points

Shane Bordier, Dervilla O´Byran, Alan Leonard and Dennis Morrison.

Other team scores were: Team 10 = 76pts, Teams 7 & 9= 75pts, Teams 1, 4 & 14 = 74pts, Team 8 = 73pts, Team 3 = 72pts, Team 13 = 71pts, Team 12 = 67pts, Team 6 = 65pts,

 

The target-shooters and our NTP winners were: Andrew O'Loughlin, Hole 5; Rob Gent, Hole 8; Chris Hamilton, Hole 10;  Dervilla O'Byrne, Hole 17 prize.

The HR Charity thanks you very much once again for your dubious putting as only 1 two was recorded by Andrew O'Loughlin at the 5th.
