As the summer is now really with us, heat wise, it was good to have the slight breeze yesterday at El Valle to keep the conditions reasonable. The results show that Cat 1 players generally played pretty well, as did the ladies from Cat 3.

Individual Category 136 points was needed in this category to get an honourable mention, and Brian Platt and Mike Hughes are fully deserving of their mention, and especially James Clasby, just missing out on 38 points. But well done to our one and two: -

Winner: Steve Fitzpatrick 42 points

Runner-up: Ron Weller 39 points

Individual Category 2
This category found it a bit of a struggle, but good performance deserving hon mention are Graham Swift and Lee Murfet both on 34 points. The winner is ahead of the runner up by having a handicap 0.1 less than the runner up : -

Winner: Lynn Lalley 35 points

Runner-up: Harry Rice 35 points

Individual Category 3
As I mentioned, this was a category for the ladies, with 5 in the first 6. So we mention on 34 points Caz Clarks, Esther Siegrist and Dave Hughes (to keep the flag waving for the lads!) and very well done to Sylvia de Zwart on 36 points, just missing out on handicap: -

Winner: Mary Lynam 38 points

Runner-up: Sue Horsfield 36 points

Team Competition 
A lot of teams seemed to cope well with the pressure of having to count on 4 holes each.5 teams managed to achieve or exceed the par of 108, and you prize winners were. Your winners were:-
Winners :  Team 10 : 118 points

Darren Bakes, Graham Swift, Sue Horsfield and Esther Siegrist

Runners-up : Team 6 : 117 points

Ron Weller, Lynn Lalley, Chris Dunne and Mary Lynam​

Third : Team 13 : 110 points

Paul Tayor, Damian Conway, Harry Rice and Paul Best.

Other team scores were: Teams 12 = 109pts, Teams 2 = 108pts, Teams 7 & 4 = 106pts, Team 9 = 105pts, Team 11 = 104pts, Team 8 = 103pts, Team 3 = 99pts, Team 5 = 96pts, Team 1 = 89pts.
